while Growing in Grace"
-Matt. 28:19-20, 2 Pet. 3:18
You’ve been a part of my life for a long time. We began our relationship before I could ever remember any events in my life.
We’ve missed so many opportunities together; lacking confidence and courage to experience new things,
We’ve had many pity parties together; not willing to trust new challenges in life,
We’ve played the hide and seek game; hiding from those who are seeking to see the real me,
I’m ending our relationship forever. II Timothy 1:7 tells me; God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. I realize you are a spirit, an unpleasant stronghold of distress and uneasiness. Through our years together, you have given me false evidence of things appearing to be real. You have held me hostage in my mind when I’ve had the power to overcome therefore, I am freeing myself from the uneasiness we have shared for 40 years but I want to thank you for strengthening me to walk in my destiny.
GOODBYE FEAR!
Good Evening First Lady,
This is one of those relationships we rarely recognize as destructive, derogatory, and in fact, demonic. Thank you for helping us discern, as children of God, the place and space that fear invades the lives of Believers. This week’s post reminds us we are more than conquerors, if we are courageous enough to confront the adversary called fear. We’ll done, First Lady Peck.
Thank you Pastor Guthrie, it can definitely be destructive to our growth in all aspects of life. It can hinder aspirations; presenting them as a dream and not a reality.
This was very interesting using a break up letter approach to show how we can fin off the devils cunning ways to distract us from Gods Word. Keep up the good work God is always working for our good through many avenues. Don’t stop growing in and with God!
