while Growing in Grace"
-Matt. 28:19-20, 2 Pet. 3:18
As I continue to enjoy the warm weather of this summer season, I cannot help to think about the book I’m reading about the Four Seasons of Marriage written by Dr. Gary Chapman.
Just as nature has her seasons, so does marriage. As Dr. Chapman has expressed in his book, the seasons will repeat themselves. I can say, my marriage has experienced all four seasons over the 22 years we have been married.
“The interweaving of emotions, attitudes, and actions creates the quality of our relationship in the various seasons of our marriage”. It is up to us, as a couple, how long our marriage will spend in each season.
The nature of marriage is Commitment, Unity, Intimacy, Purposeful, and Complementary. (Eph 5:22-25, 28-29; Song of Solomon; I Corinthians 7ch). Emotions moderated by Reason guided by Truth = Constructive Action.
I will talk more about the Four seasons in the next moments we share together. As for now,
Thank you for sharing…A MOMENT WITH MELISSA!
