while Growing in Grace"
-Matt. 28:19-20, 2 Pet. 3:18
As we conclude saying goodbye to fear, be careful not to get hooked back up with this destructive companion.
We started this month saying goodbye, and I don’t know about you, but every day fear has tried its best to hang on to the very end. I have struggled this month in areas I thought I had conquered. I have dealt with external as well as internal attacks, but yet I’m holding on to the promises of God. Proverbs 1:33 tells us -But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
Beloved, I encourage you to do as Peter (I Pet 5:8-9); be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
As we close this segment on fear, be sober and watchful at all times, so we experience a healthy fear that God smiles on.
